Tailem Bends Beautification Crew
Many thanks to our members for their support!
Our group was established through our Parent Committee, the Tailem Bend Progress Association. All volunteers undertook a volunteering course through the Coorong District Council, thus ensuring that our members work safely and are protected via WHS Protocol.
With a good number of volunteers, currently 9, we have a working bee about every quarter. For example, trimming trees and shrubs at the railway station, railway platform corridor, BMX Park, railway yard, and Qualmann Reserve. There has been one occasion when we have done work on a non-council asset. That was a tidy-up of the garden area at the Tailem Bend Hospital.
In closing I thank our dedicated volunteers and thanks to Travis Hay and Patsy Crabb of Orono District Council, who assist in keeping our working bees running smoothly.
